Our new alumni association has arrived! We are The Home Team!

Our Mission:

To build an army of Cal Poly Mustang Football Alumni,Parents, Fans, Businesses and all who desire to show their appreciation for what they received; a football scholarship, college admission and a Cal Poly degree. This army of donors comprised of both alumni and businesses will dedicate themselves to foster a “give back” philosophy that will ensure future Mustangs the same opportunity and experience year after year. 

Collectively, the HomeTeam will effectively raise and gift funds exclusively for the benefit of the Cal Poly Football Program while keeping annual donations at affordable levels so all can participate.

Our Steering Committee:

By working hand in hand with the athletic department to accomplish this incredible dream of becoming a Division I football program, a small body of local alumni are contacting and appointing one or more captains from each team over the last 50 years of football to serve on the steering committee. The steering committee is collective group of alumni who will be directly responsible for contacting all seniors from their respective teams to report back to the administration with updated contacted information and annual membership commitments.

The Home Team:

Over 300 football alumni have joined in our very first year after hosting three events and sending out two mailers! We have a very attainable goal of reaching 1,500 members by Fall 2010, if everyone gets on board. The Home Team will become the heart of Cal Poly Football, connecting us, empowering us, and enabling our direct participation in the success on the gridiron while supporting our head coach, Tim Walsh and his excellent staff.

There were many people before we ALL arrived at Cal Poly who made sacrifices to insure the realization of our experiences, so ALL of us must do the same for both current and future Mustangs. If we ALL get involved, the financial sacrifice is very minimal, only $150 per year! We want every football player who ever walked on the practice field or wore a uniform.

Annual Membership:

Cal Poly Athletic Advancement, as a thank you for your participation, will sponsor two alumni functions (Fall/Spring) during each academic year. You will be notified of these events by direct mail to your residence or business of record with advance notice. If you are not currently receiving information about the Home Team, Cal Poly Football or Alumni events, please contact Athletic Advancement Department immediately at 805-756-7188. 

2010 Football Game

September 4th vs. Humboldt State 6:00 PM/

- Current Home Team Members receive 2 Complimentary General Admission Tickets to the game.

2011 Alumni Spring Game

April 23rd. . . Information to come

Annual Dues: Only $150.00 for the 2010/2011season.
