Roberts Eastern League Player of the Week; Daley Promoted

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- Former Cal Poly outfielder Brandon Roberts has been named Eastern League player of the week and right-handed pitcher Gary Daley has been promoted to the Double-A Texas League.

Adam Buschini is hitting .359 in the month of August while Grant Desme has 13 hits in his last nine games to move close to the .300 mark.

Southpaw Jared Eskew is 7-1 in the Gulf Coast League while pitcher Eric Massingham and shortstop Kyle Smith are sidelined with injuries.

Evan Reed is fourth in the California League with his 19 saves and Jimmy Van Ostrand had a 10-game hitting streak come to an end Sunday.
