2008: A .212 hitter in first season as a Mustang with seven hits, including three doubles ... knocked in six runs ... in doubleheader against Alabama on Feb. 23, had a hit and two RBIs in each game, including a double and three walks in the opener ... also hit doubles against Washington and Fresno State ... played summer ball for West Coast Cave Ducks in Coquitlam near Vancouver, B.C, going 9-for-13 in a midseason tournament and 5-for-7 in a doubleheader against the Seattle Studs.

Allan Hancock College: Played two seasons under head coach Chris Stevens at Allan Hancock College in nearby Santa Maria ... hit .430 as a sophomore in 2007 with 15 doubles, seven home runs and 40 RBIs ... 18-for-23 in stolen bases and compiled a .640 slugging percentage ... his 74 hits and .430 average are school records ... earned first-team All-Western State Conference North Division and All-Southern California honors ... also was named Santa Barbara County and Western State Conference scholar-athlete ... as a freshman in 2006 hit .323 with six doubles, one triple, four home runs and 35 RBIs, stealing four bases in four attempts en route to first-team all-conference honors ... drafted by the New York Yankees in the 35th round of the 2006 Major League Draft ... played summer ball for the San Luis Obispo Blues, hitting .305 with 13 doubles, three triples, a trio of home runs and 44 RBIs with six stolen bases in eight attempts ... listed No. 8 on Baseball America’s list of top pro prospects in California Collegiate League ... played for Clarinda in 2006.
