2009: Pitched in 11 games, all in relief, as a redshirt freshman and compiled 1-1 record and 9.00 ERA with 13 strikeouts in 18 innings ... earned first collegiate win against Sacramento State on Feb. 27, pitching one-third of an inning ... longest stint was 3.2 innings, allowing two runs and four hits against Fresno State with a career-high four strikeouts in game Cal Poly won 13-11 ... two scoreless innings against UC Davis on April 19 ... allowed one run and one hit in 1.2 innings against Rice on Feb. 20, his first collegiate game ... in summer ball pitched for Sacramento Legends and earned honorable mention All-Sacramento Premier Baseball League honors after compiling an 0-1 record and 3.42 ERA ... in five games (three starts), struck out 26 batters in 26.1 innings.

2008: Redshirt ... played for Santa Maria Indians in summer ball, posting 0-2 record and 3.63 ERA in six appearances with 19 strikeouts in 17.1 innings.

Prep: A four-year letter winner in baseball at Woodland High School ... a starter all four years in the outfield and as a pitcher the last two years ... posted 1-1 record and 4.20 ERA as a senior, striking out 17 in 10 innings ... was 11-1 with a 3.03 ERA as a junior with 74 strikeouts in 64.2 innings ... hit .339 with 23 RBIs as a senior and .414 with 27 RBIs and 11 stolen bases as a junior ... led Wolves to second-place Tri-County Conference finish in 2007 and championship in 2006 ... Wolves were 23-7 in 2007 and 28-2 en route to CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section title in 2006 under head coach Javy Valdivia ... Wolves also won league titles in 2004 and 2005 ... earned first-team All-Tri-County Conference honors in 2006 as a junior and second-team all-conference honors in 2005 ... also as a junior was named first-team All-Sacramento Bee and second-team all-state and was a North-South All-Star and section all-star ... also lettered in basketball as a freshman and sophomore ... member of California Scholastic Federation, National Honor Society and earned Dale Lackey (best student-athlete) Award.
