2009: 2009: Did not pitch in any games as a redshirt freshman ... expected to provide middle relief out of the bullpen in 2010.

2008: Redshirt ... did not play baseball ... a walk-on.

Prep: A three-year varsity letter winner under head coach Phil Mittry at Steele Canyon High ... all three teams earned spots in the CIF-San Diego Section playoffs ... was a third baseman, pitcher, team captain and team MVP during senior season in 2007 ... hit .350 with five doubles, 12 RBIs and a .462 on-base percentage ... on the mound posted 2-4 mark and 5.11 ERA with two complete games and 25 strikeouts in 38.1 innings ... also lettered in football as a freshman and sophomore ... visited UC San Diego before choosing Cal Poly.

Personal: Son of Mark and Beverly Bruder ... one brother, Matthew ... lists snowboarding, wakeboarding and the desert as hobbies ... born February 2, 1989, in San Diego, Calif. ... majors in general engineering.
