High School: A 2009 graduate of St. Francis High School in Mountain View, where he hit .310 as a senior under head coach Mike Oakland, a former Mustang baseball player and coach … 11 doubles and one home run as he helped the Lancers to a 26-9 record, a first-place tie in the West Catholic Athletic League and a berth in the semifinals of the CIF-Central Coast Section playoffs … also lettered four times in football, where he played wide receiver and defensive back … caught 12 passes as a senior in 2008 … graduated with high honors.

Personal: Son of Stephen and Debbie Hoo … one brother, Chris, who signed a National Letter of Intent last fall to play baseball at Cal Poly, and two sisters, Mollie and Kailey … born November 20, 1990, in Cupertino, Calif. … majors in agricultural business.
