Head Coach Joe Callero on Hanson: "Dave is one of our most fundamentally strong players. His clever inside game and willingness to improve will show as the season progresses."

Freshman (2008-09) : Played in 28 games as a true freshman ... Played in first game as a Mustang on Nov. 11 against Arkansas-Little Rock and scored seven points with seven rebounds... hit three of eight shots from the field... Overall averaged 3.5 points and 3.3 rebounds... Scored five or more points in nine games including a season-high 10 points on the road at Cal State Bakersfield when he hit four of six shots from the field and two of two long range... Had eight games of five or more rebounds including a season-high nine against the University of San Francisco ... Shot 38 percent from the floor and 25 percent long range... had one block against Seattle but managed 14 steals including three against Arkansas-Little Rock... Played in all 16 conference games and averaged 2.7 points and 2.9 rebounds... made 35 percent from the floor and 21 percent from long range...

High School: A 2008 graduate of Maranatha Christian Academy... Scored over 2,000 points with over 1,500 rebounds in high school career... Won Minnesota Christian League Championship four times... participated in Minnesota All-Star Game... As a senior averaged 24 points and 15 rebounds per game.... As a junior Hanson averaged 22.9 points per game... He scored in double figures in 25 of 26 games, including a season-high 36. Hanson played AAU ball with the Minnesota Magic Elite Stars.

Personal: Born David Raymond Hanson on Aug. 26, 1989 in Detroit, MI... Son of Tim and Barb Hanson... Seven brothers (Andy, Matt, Daniel, Stephen, Josh, Isaiah and Jeremiah... Two sisters (Jenny and Faith).. Brother Matt played basketball at Cal Poly while Andy played for Concordia, Daniel and Stephen played at Northwest College.. Majoring in business at Cal Poly...
