Will start at the Z-Back (wide receiver) position after starting all 11 games in 2007 at Z-Back, all 11 in 2006 as the X-Back and 10 of the 13 games in 2005 as a redshirt freshman … preseason All-American candidate.

2007 -- Named to every Football Championship Subdivision All-America first team -- The Sports Network, American Football Coaches Association, Walter Camp Football Foundation, Associated Press, CollegeSports Report.com and College Sporting News’ Fabulous Fifty ... shared Great West Football Conference’s offensive player of the year award with North Dakota State senior quarterback Steve Walker ... three-time All-Great West first-team selection ... shattered Mustang receiving records throughout the 2007 season ... now holds all-time Cal Poly records for most receiving yards (1,467), points (108) and 100-yard receiving games (7) in a season as well as receiving touchdowns in a game (4), season (18) and career (32) ... second nationally in receiving yards per game (133.4) ... will open 2008 season as active FCS leader in career touchdowns, receiving yards and yards per catch ... caught 57 passes (No. 6 all-time at Cal Poly) for 1,467 yards and 18 touchdowns ... career totals are 139 catches (No. 5 all-time at Cal Poly) for 2,946 yards (No. 2) and 32 touchdowns (No. 1) ... also ran track with best marks of 11.05 in 100 and 22.59 in 200.

2006 -- Led the team in receiving for the second straight year, catching 42 passes for 824 yards and five touchdowns ... his 824 receiving yards is No. 11 all time for a single season at Cal Poly ... first-team All-Great West Football Conference selection ... College Sporting News Fabulous Fifty All-American ... earned Great West Football Conference Player of the Week and I-AA.org All-Star honors after catching nine passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns against Sacramento State on Sept. 16 ... had seven catches for 110 yards and a score the following week against San Jose State … six catches for 123 yards at Montana.

2005 -- Caught a team-leading 40 passes for 655 yards and nine touchdowns en route to first-team All-Great West Football Conference honors ... twice caught 48-yarders, one each against Montana and Eastern Washington, catching two touchdowns in each game ... career-high nine receptions against Southern Utah ... used his 6-6 height to block pair of field goal attempts against South Dakota State and North Dakota State.

2004 -- Redshirt.

High School -- As a senior under head coach Marty Konrad at Flintridge Prep in La Canada Flintridge, Bardon caught 41 passes for 915 yards and 14 touchdowns, leading the Rebels (12-1) to the CIF-Southern Section Division XIII title ... earned All-Prep League, All-CIF-Southern Section and All-Area (Pasadena-Glendale) honors in addition to all-state honors in the small schools division ... a free safety with the Rebels as well ... also played basketball, volleyball and track and field at Flintridge Prep ... in basketball, averaged 17 points and eight rebounds a game ... was named all-league three times and all-CIF twice in basketball ... named Cal-Hi Sports small schools Athlete of the Year ... Honor Roll member as a junior and senior ... participated in Peer Counseling, the Minority Student Union as a club director and was an Alliance Camp counselor ... also visited Penn and San Diego before choosing Cal Poly.

Personal -- Son of Al and Denise Barden ... one sister, Lisa ... father played basketball for New York University and reached the NCAA Final Four in the early 1960s ... born Jan. 1, 1986, in Altadena, CA ... lists music, basketball, dominos and cultural events as hobbies … member of Black Student Union and Local Celebrity Look Alikes … claims to be the Central Coast Madden Champ as well as Cal Poly bowling tournament champ ... has served as a coach at summer basketball camps and is an accomplished speaker ... featured in Cal Poly Admission’s “Day in the Life” ... Dean’s List honoree ... majors in business administration with a concentration in marketing.
