San Jose Earthquakes to Train in San Luis Obispo the Week of the Major League Soccer Central Coast Showcase
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — The San Jose Earthquakes will train for five days in San Luis Obispo, Calif. from February 20 through February 24 to prepare for the Major League Soccer Central Coast Showcase hosted by Cal Poly. The Earthquakes, who will play games against the Columbus Crew on Friday at 7 p.m. and D.C. United on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Alex G. Spanos Stadium, will spend the week training on Cal Poly's campus. ...

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — The San Jose Earthquakes will train for five days in San Luis Obispo, Calif. from February 20 through February 24 to prepare for the Major League Soccer Central Coast Showcase hosted by Cal Poly.
The Earthquakes, who will play games against the Columbus Crew on Friday at 7 p.m. and D.C. United on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Alex G. Spanos Stadium, will spend the week training on Cal Poly's campus. The MLS expansion franchise is currently in the Bay Area to play a pair of exhibition matches against the Houston Dynamo on Wednesday and Friday.
"I'm really excited for the San Luis Obispo community to be able to see these world-class athletes playing in town," Cal Poly men's soccer coach Paul Holocher said. "It's a fantastic opportunity for our community to see this elite level of soccer at Alex G. Spanos Stadium."
As part of their trip to San Luis Obispo, San Jose will set up a tent at the February 21 Farmer's Market from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Earthquakes memorabilia will be available for purchase and a player or two will be available for autographs.
