Series Opener Against San Francisco Postponed by Rain
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – Cal Poly’s scheduled non-conference baseball game against San Francisco on Friday night in Baggett Stadium has been postponed due to rain. The Mustangs and Dons will play a 1 p.m. doubleheader Saturday with a 45-minute break between games. SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – Cal Poly’s scheduled non-conference baseball game against San Francisco on Friday night in Baggett Stadium has been postponed due to rain.
The Mustangs and Dons will play a 1 p.m. doubleheader Saturday with a 45-minute break between games. Sunday’s series finale is still set for 1 p.m.
Friday’s postponement is the first at Baggett Stadium of a game that never got under way since March 17, 2002, when Cal Poly and Sacramento State could not play the final game of a three-game series due to rain.
Cal Poly and San Francisco are playing each other for the first time since 2005 when the Mustangs won two of three games in a weekend series at Baggett Stadium. The Mustangs open the 2010 season with a four-game series at Benedetti Diamond in San Francisco.
