SAN LUIS OBISPO – The Cal Poly women’s tennis match versus Santa Clara, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 5 at 11 a.m. on Mustang Courts, has been postponed due to impending inclement weather on the central coast. A revised match date will be announced once a time has been agreed upon by both programs.
Cal Poly opened its 2010 spring schedule on Jan. 14 with a 7-0 victory against Cal State Bakersfield, but had to reschedule mid-January matches at Pepperdine and UCLA due to precipitation. Cal Poly’s three-day stint at the Jan. 22-24 California Winter Invitational in Berkeley was also washed out.
As of Friday afternoon, the Mustangs are still scheduled to face San Francisco on Sunday, Feb. 7 in Pebble Beach at 12 noon.
“The players have been working really hard both on the court and in the weight room and, at the moment, we’re just eager to play at any time,” Cal Poly head coach Hugh Bream said.
