May 18, 2013 | Baseball No. 27 Cal Poly Clinches Cal State Northridge Series With 6-2 Victory On Friday night, sophomore right fielder Nick Torres and senior catcher Elliot Stewart combined for four RBI. The pair did one better Saturday. Stewart drove in three runs with a two-run home run and a groundout while Torres singled to knocked in two more as No. 27 Cal Poly clinched its Big West Conference baseball series with a 6-2 victory over second-place Cal State Northridge.
May 17, 2013 | Baseball Wagman Earns 11th Victory as No. 27 Cal Poly Defeats Northridge, 5-1 Senior right-hander Joey Wagman earned his 11th victory of the season, moving into second place in the Cal Poly record book, while sophomore right fielder Nick Torres and senior catcher Elliot Stewart both knocked in two runs as No. 27 Cal Poly defeated Cal State Northridge 5-1 in a Big West Conference baseball game Friday night before 1,168 in Baggett Stadium.

April 27, 2013 | Softball Mustang Softball Program Splits Saturday Doubleheader at UC Riverside Junior third baseman Jillian Andersen’s sixth-inning, bases-loaded single stood as the decisive blow and starting sophomore lefthander Chloe Wurst tossed her sixth complete-game shutout of 2013 as the Cal Poly softball program opened a Saturday afternoon doubleheader versus UC Riverside with a 2-0 triumph at Amy S. Harrison Field. Powered by a four-run second inning, however, UC Riverside returned during the second game to whitewash Cal Poly, 8-0, in five innings.
April 26, 2013 | Men's Tennis Pacific Upsets Cal Poly, 4-3, in Semifinal of BWC Tennis Tournament The second seeded Cal Poly men’s tennis team was upset by the No. 3 seed Pacific, 4-3, Friday afternoon in the semifinal round of the Big West Conference Men’s Tennis Tournament at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. With the loss Cal Poly falls to 14-9 overall. The Mustangs entered the BWC tournament ranked 67th in the nation.
April 24, 2013 | Track & Field Cal Poly to Host UCSB in Blue-Green Rivalry, Saturday The Cal Poly track and field team’s will host the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos in a Blue-Green Rivalry meet on Saturday with possibly the title on the line. Two of the three points remaining (men’s golf) will be decided in the dual meet between the schools. The meet opens with the hammer throw at 10 am with the track events starting at 12:30 pm with the women’s 3000m steeple chase.

April 19, 2013 | Softball Mustang Softball Team Edged Twice by No. 15 Hawai’i Sophomore starting lefthander Chloe Wurst matched a career high with seven strikeouts during the Cal Poly softball team’s Friday doubleheader opening game against No. 15 Hawai’i, but the Rainbow Wahine allowed just three hits as the Mustangs dropped a 4-0 decision at Bob Janssen Field. Despite taking a first-inning lead during the nightcap, Cal Poly also fell in the second game, 3-1.
