Cal Poly Volleyball Aims to Stay Unbeaten, Heads to Baylor Tournament September 2, 2015 For the first time since 2006, Cal Poly volleyball has opened a season by going 3-0 after four-set victories over San Jose State and Sacramento State last weekend in the San Jose State Invitational and a 3-2 triumph over Fresno State on Tuesday night. Cal Poly Wins Five-Set Thriller at Fresno State, Remains Unbeaten September 2, 2015 For the first time since the 2006 season – nine years and six days to be exact – Cal Poly volleyball opened a season undefeated through three matches after a five-set win over Fresno State inside the Save Mart Center on Tuesday evening. The Mustangs began the match with 25-20 and 25-22 victories in the opening two sets, only to see the Bulldogs scratch out two straight set victories and send it to a decisive fifth. Cal Poly Continues Its Winning Ways With 3-1 Win over Sacramento State August 29, 2015 Cal Poly volleyball remained unbeaten this season with a four-set victory over Sacramento State behind the strength of 14 kills apiece from senior middle blocker Taylor Gruenewald and freshman outside hitter Adlee Van Winden during the final day of the San Jose State Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Spartan Gym. It was the second day in a row that Van Winden collected 14 kills, while the Mustangs (2-0) handed the Hornets their first loss of the season. [read more]

Cal Poly Volleyball Opens 2015 Season at San Jose State Invitational August 24, 2015 Highlighted by 11 returning letter winners, including seven starters, the Cal Poly volleyball program embarks on the 2015 season when visiting the five-team San Jose State Invitational on Friday, Aug. 28 and Saturday, Aug. 29. Cal Poly Beach Volleyball Helps Form Newest Big West Conference Sport June 26, 2015 The Cal Poly sand volleyball program will join five other schools as charter members of the 17th Big West-sponsored sport, it was announced by the conference office on Friday afternoon. Cal Poly – which contested its first sand volleyball season in 2014 – unites with CSUN, Long Beach State and Hawai'i to welcome both CSU Bakersfield and Sacramento State to form a six-team league.
Cal Poly Volleyball Program Unveils 2015 Schedule June 23, 2015 Featuring five matches versus opponents that qualified for last season’s NCAA Tournament and 11 contests inside the Mott Athletics Center, the Cal Poly volleyball program announced its 29-match regular season schedule on Tuesday morning. Jason Borchin Joins Cal Poly Volleyball Coaching Staff June 22, 2015 Fourth-year head coach Sam Crosson and the Cal Poly Athletic Department announced on Monday that Jason Borchin has been hired as an assistant coach. Borchin – a full-time assistant coach at Sacramento State for the past six seasons – replaces Chris Tamas who was recently hired as an assistant coach by the University of Nebraska.
