Allen won both the 50 freestyle and the 100 butterfly in the men's swimming team's 164.5-129.5 victory over the Gauchos, who are ranked No. 31 in the country by collegeswimming.com, on Senior Day to wrap up the regular season for the Mustangs.
He won the 50 free with a time of 20.61, which is the second-fastest 50 free time on the team this season. He then won the 100 fly with a time of 48.40, over two seconds ahead of second place.
Allen was one of three Mustang men’s swimmers who won two individual events on the day.
With the regular season now finished, Cal Poly gets ready to head to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships. That will be held Feb. 20-23 at the La Mirada Aquatics Center and Marguerite Diving Complex.
