SAN LUIS OBISPO – The Cal Poly softball team matched a program record with eight Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete selections in July as the Mustangs closed the 2024-25 academic year with a collective 3.28 team GPA.
Enjoying eight selections for the second successive season and third time in time in the previous five years, Cal Poly’s 2025 class included graduated righthanders Kate Judy (sociology major) and Paige Maier (biological science), senior third baseman Mylina Garza (communication studies), junior outfielder A’Niyla Byrd (interdisciplinary studies), junior catcher Natalie Curran (public health), junior infielder Sehren Martinez (psychology), junior righthander Ally Robbins (recreation, parks and tourism administration) and sophomore righthander Ava Doyle (agricultural business).
To be considered for selection, student-athletes had to post a minimum 3.5 GPA for the 2024-25 academic year.
Judy, who departed as an All-Big West second team honoree this past spring, also graduated – along with Maier – as a four-time Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete selection. Curran, Garza and Robbins, meanwhile, each earned their second collegiate recognitions.
Since 2012 under head coach Jenny Condon, the Cal Poly program has earned 63 total Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete selections – an average of 5.7 per season (awards not presented for 2020).
