2017 -- As a sophomore, compiled 1-0 record and 4.30 ERA with 14 appearances on the mound, all out of the bullpen ... earned victory against CSU Bakersfield with two scoreless, hitless innings ... also pitched 2 2/3 scoreless, hitless innings against Fresno State ... struck out 16 batters over 14 2/3 innings with just four walks ... played summer ball for Eau Claire Express in Northwoods League, posting 1-1 record and 1.38 ERA ... pitched 13 innings over six relief appearances with 12 strikeouts ... closed out season with two shutout frames for the win against Thunder Bay and three scoreless innings against St. Cloud.

2016 -- As a true freshman compiled 0-0 record and 2.73 ERA over 14 appearances on the mound ... started two games against Santa Clara on April 5 and UC Irvine on May 14 ... allowed one run and two hits in three innings at Santa Clara and one run and two hits over five frames against UC Irvine ... first collegiate appearance on the mound was one scoreless inning against Pacific on Feb. 21 ... season-high five strikeouts in start against UC Irvine ... played summer ball for Corvallis Knights in West Coast League, compiling 0-1 record and 5.40 ERA with 11 strikeouts over 13 1/3 innings.

High School — A 2015 graduate of Lowell High School in San Francisco … under head coach John Donahue, hit .234 with a double, a triple, two home runs and 11 RBI … also was 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA over 7 2/3 innings … helped Cardinals to 26-9 overall mark and their third straight CIF-San Francisco Section Academic Athletic Association championship at 14-0 … with six victories and a stingy 1.16 ERA, Colin led Lowell to the CIF-San Francisco Section Academic Athletic Association championship as a junior as well … team posted a 24-9 record … pitched one shutout against Stuart Hill and struck out 77 batters in 66 1/3 innings, walking just five … also hit .325 with four doubles, two triples, 15 RBI?and six steals, playing in the outfield when not pitching … twice earned first-team all-city honors (sophomore and junior seasons), was named Pitcher of the Year and played in the Area Code Games for the Oakland Athletics in 2014 … after visiting Air Force, California, UC?Santa Barbara and San Jose State, Colen chose Cal Poly "for its legendary engineering program and outstanding baseball reputation." … played summer ball for Corvallis Knights, compiling 1-1 record and 5.87 ERA with 10 strikeouts in 15 1/3 innings over 12 relief appearances.
