2013 -- Named Big Sky Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Year after notching 70 tackles (14 for lost yardage) and 8.5 sacks. He also has 11 quarterback hurries to his credit, blocked a Yale field goal attempt and earned an interception against Northern Colorado in his final game as a Mustang. Grosz notched a season-high 10 tackles at Montana on Oct. 19, including a sack. He did not miss a game in his four seasons at Cal Poly and started 35 straight contests. His career totals: 103-85--188 total tackles, 40.5 tackles for lost yardage, 22.0 sacks (No. 5 all-time at Cal Poly), four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. He also garnered his lone career interception in his final game as a Mustang Nov. 23 at Northern Colorado. Grosz was a starter at defensive tackle his last three years and served as team captain for two seasons. He was named to the 2013 College Football Performance Awards preseason watch list for defensive linemen for the second straight year and also was named to Sports Network’s Preseason All-American Third Team and to the All-Big Sky Conference Preseason Team.
