Noel Wins Fourth Straight Match But Cal Poly Falls at Fresno State

FRESNO, Calif. — Junior Antoine Noel (pictured) won his fourth straight singles match but it was not quite enough as the Cal Poly men's tennis team dropped its road match against Fresno State Saturday 4-1.

The Bulldogs (5-2) took the doubles point after wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions.

Noel won the lone singles point for the Mustangs (3-4) after a 6-1, 6-4 straight sets win at the No. 2 spot over Angus Bradshaw. He is now 4-1 in singles so far this season, having played at both the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.

Fresno State won at the first, fifth and sixth spots in singles to secure the 4-1 victory.

Cal Poly now returns back home for its next match. The Mustangs will host Nevada Saturday, February 16 at 2 p.m. Cal Poly won its home opener Friday over San Francisco 4-1.
