SAN LUIS OBISPO – The Mustangs wrapped up their seventh annual Queen of the Pool Pentathlon against Cal Friday afternoon at the Anderson Aquatic Center.
Freshman Amelia Feick recorded the best overall score for the Mustangs, as she had a combined time of 5:04.75 over the five events, finishing 14th overall. She placed fifth in the 100-yard breast stroke (1:06.42), 15th in the 100 IM (101.48), and16th in the 100-yard backstroke (100.54).
Cal Poly took 19-21 places, including junior Shaelin Morefield came in second with an overall score of 5:11.10, coming in 19th overall, while sophomore Noelle Kipp came in 20th overall with a score of 5:11.58 and junior Sage Speak came in 21st with a score of 5:11.58.
Cal's Kathleen Baker came in first and was named Queen of the Pool for Cal, as she finished with an overall time of 4:43.28. Baker came in first place for the 100-fly (54.11) and first in the 100-IM (55.79).
Friday Sept. 30, the men's swimming team will take on USC at the Anderson Aquatic Center at 6 p.m.
