Weltner, Cudmore Finish in Top Three At Lancer Dive Invitational

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Cal Poly diving freshmen Joelle Weltner and Jackson Cudmore both placed in the top three Saturday at the Lancer Dive Invitational hosted by Cal Baptist University in Riverside.

Weltner, from Rancho Santa Margarita, placed second in the women's 1M Championship after a final dive score of 247.35 with a difficulty rating of 13.70, just three points shy of first.

Cudmore, who is from Sacramento, placed third in the men's 3M Championship after a final dive score of 282.70 with a 16.50 degree of difficulty rating.

The Cal Poly swimming and diving teams will both be in action next weekend when the Mustangs travel to face UC Santa Barbara for the first Blue-Green rivalry meet of the season. It is scheduled for Saturday, October 27 at 11 a.m.
