Feick Earns MPSF Female Athlete of the Week Honors

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — After winning two events for the second consecutive week, Cal Poly junior swimmer Amelia Feick was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Female Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.

Feick placed first in the 100 breast (1:05.44) and 200 breast (2:22.72), helping the Mustangs to a 170-112 home dual win over Pepperdine last weekend. Her 200 breast swim was nearly four seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.

In a dual meet the week prior against UC Santa Barbara, Feick also won two events. First, she collected a win in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:18.32. She then followed that up with a win in the 200 IM with a time of 2:07.28, over three seconds faster than second place.

This is Feick's first career MPSF Athlete of the Week award.

The Cal Poly swim team next competes at the UNLV Winter Invitational Nov. 29-Dec. 1.
