High School—Makenzie attended Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, CA. She competed in track and field all four years of high school as league champions in three out of four years. Makenzie finished second in CIF her senior year and made the all county team. Her pole vault personal record is 11’10” which she achieved her senior year.
Personal-- Makenzie is an agricultural business major and hopes to work as a psychologist one day. She enjoys horseback riding and worked as a wrangler at a dude ranch for two years. Makenzie’s brother, Garrett, is a pole vaulter for UCSB.
