SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – After the first round of the Big West Conference Women's Golf Championship at San Luis Obispo Golf and Country Club, UC Irvine leads at 12 over par while Cal Poly is sixth at 32 over par. The championship will continue with second round play on Monday.

Michelle Park holds the first round lead with a 1 over par 73 on the 6169-yard, par 72 course. Teammate Michelle Yang is second after shooting a 74.

Sophomore Asia Adell leads the Mustangs at five over par after shooting a first round 77.

Senior Caitlin Farley along with sophomores Morgan Thomas and Taylor Yoshitake are tied for 24th after posting round's of 81, nine over par.

Junior Kristen Locke rounded out the competing Mustang golfers with an 83.

UC Davis is in second after shooting a team score of 305 (+17) and trail the Anteaters by five strokes. Long Beach State (306) and Cal State Northridge (313) round out the top four teams.
