2017-18 -- Eaarned one victory as a sophomore and it was by fall in 4:08 against Anthony Le of Stanford in 133-pound bracket at Reno Tournament of Champions ... expected to move up to 141 pounds this year.
2016-17 -- Compiled 8-11 record as a redshirt freshman, including a 2-3 mark in dual meets, all at 141 pounds ... two falls and a pair of major decisions ... pins were against teammate Glenn Farina in 4:58 at the San Francisco State Under-21 Open and Pavin Blas of Warner Pacific in 1:47 at Menlo Open ... earned team's Coaches Award.
2015-16 -- Redshirt ... Competed in pair of open tournaments in November, splitting four matches at San Francisco State JC Open and going 1-2 in Roadrunner Open ... all three wins and all four losses in 3-4 season were by decision.
High School -- The younger brother of current Mustang wrestler Colton Schilling, Tyler, a three-time Oregon state placewinner, finishing third in 2015 as a senior at 126 pounds and in 2013 as a sophomore at 106 pounds and fourth in 2014 as a junior at 120 pounds, compiled a 201-23 career mark and 128 falls in four varsity seasons at Sweet Home High School ... Schilling was 55-3 with 32 pins as a senior, 51-5 with 35 falls in his junior season, 55-5 with 36 falls as a sophomore, 40-10 with 25 falls as a freshman and was a four-time state meet qualifier … in senior season was a regional champion and placed second in the Reser’s Tournament of Champions. As a junior he was a champion at the Reser's Tournament of Champions and placed third in the same meet as a sophomore … member of the National Honors Society, was named wrestling team MVP as a sophomore and also was MVP of his soccer team as a sophomore … other awards include Sweet Home High School Academic All-American, Wrestling Workhorse and Sweet Home ESPY … has traveled internationally while competing on Oregon's cultural exchange wrestling teams in FILA freestyle tournaments and host duals in Germany and South Africa … a Greco-Roman national All-American … visiting George Mason and Northern Colorado, Schilling chose Cal Poly because of "its academic reputation for future employment, student-to-professor ratio that creates a unique student environment, and Coach Buckley's vision for the team and commitment to his wrestlers. A bonus is the year-round sunshine." He lives his life through two favorite quotes: "I'm not afraid of dying, I'm afraid of not living," and "Find a way!"
