Reed Wins Third Straight, Mustangs Fall to Cal State Fullerton 4-1

FULLERTON, Calif. — Senior Molly Reed won her third straight singles match and she and partner Susanne Boyden also won their fourth straight doubles match Saturday as the Cal Poly women's tennis team fell on the road to Cal State Fullerton in a Big West conference match.

Reed and Boyden took down the Titans' (17-4, 5-1) No. 3 doubles tandem 6-2. The duo is now 4-0 this season. Fullerton would take the other two matches to win the double point.

In singles, Reed defeated Luxizi Meng at the No. 4 spot in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 to improve her record to a team-best 8-3 this season.

Freshman Grace Olyphant had one set advantage over her opponent when the Titans clinched. She won the first set 7-6 and had a 2-1 advantage in the second at the time it was called.

The Mustangs (5-12, 1-5) travel to UC Irvine Sunday to take on the Anteaters (8-14, 0-6) at 11 a.m.
