Cal Poly Volleyball Locker Room Gets Makeover

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – During the fall of 2013 the Cal Poly volleyball program's locker room received a $60,000 makeover that included new lockers, flooring, paint, branding, ceiling, lighting and video equipment. It was officially unveiled prior to the Long Beach State match on Sept. 28.

"I would like to thank our benefactors who helped to make this a reality," said Cal Poly Athletics Director Don Oberhelman. "This new locker room will give our volleyball student-athletes a better experience, and will serve our program for years to come."

A majority of the project was funded by parents of current student-athletes with the assistance from alumni and other donors. The improvements will have an immediate impact for the volleyball program providing the team with recruiting, meeting and video area. review and with recruiting.

"The Cal Poly women's volleyball program is both thankful and grateful to the parents, alumni, and supporters of our program to make this locker room improvement project a reality," said head coach Sam Crosson. "The locker room is now a great source of pride for our student-athletes and will serve as a great resource for our players for this season and future seasons of our program."
