The Mustang Volleyball Team Fights Hard but Falls to Arkansas State

ST. LOUIS,– The Mustang volleyball team put up a fight Saturday morning against Arkansas State at the Marcia E. Hamilton Classic but fell short after a five-set match.

The Mustangs started off the morning strong but unfortunately couldn't keep up the pace, as they won their first two sets 25-17, 25-23, but lost in the last three, 25-22, 25-20, 15-11. 

Despite the loss, the Mustangs still produced some good numbers. Junior Taylor Nelson put up 46 of the team's 54 assists while also getting seven digs and two kills.

Sophomores Adlee Van Winden and Alexis Clewis both had 15 kills while junior Raeann Greisen had 11. 

The Mustangs will be back on the court today at 5 pm to take on Saint Louis in their last match of the tournament.
