Mustang Volleyball Defeats Nevada 3-1

The Mustang volleyball team won its second match of the Sacramento Invitational Saturday morning in a four-set match against Nevada.

Ending the match with a 3-1 win, the Mustangs won their first two sets 25-15 and 25-19, while losing their third, 25-23 and winning a long neck and neck fourth set 34-32. 

Junior Raeann Greisen led the team in kills with 19, giving her a new season high.  Sophomore Adlee Van Winden put up 15 kills for the team and senior Taylor Gruenewald had 13.

Junior Taylor Nelson set her new season high of 59 assists, coming close to her career high of 61.

Sophomore Katherine Brouker led the team in digs, with 18.

The Mustangs are now 2-0 on the weekend and will finish their last match of the invitational Saturday night against Sacramento State at 7:30 p.m.
