This is the second time in Van Winden's career she has taken home the honor and the fourth time overall.

She hit .453 over 10 sets, averaging 6.00 kills per set, 2.30 digs per set, .90 blocks per set and .30 aces per set as the Mustangs swept Mississippi State and North Texas and defeated Wichita State 3-1.

She also added 11 digs against North Texas for her third double-double of the year and posted three aces and three block assists.

The No. 15 Mustangs have won nine matches in a row and finished the non-conference portion of their schedule 10-1.

They now get ready to open Big West play Tuesday against UC Davis from Mott Athletics Center at 5 p.m. After going a perfect 16-0 last season, Cal Poly will look to repeat as Big West Champions for the first time since 2006-07.
