Chris Baker is in his 16th year in Cal Poly Athletics.
He began his career back in 1996 as a marketing intern and has held the positions of Director of Marketing, Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing and Promotions and now currently Associate Athletic Director for Advancement.
In his current role, Chris oversees the day-to-day operations of Athletic Advancement, Stampede Club, Media Relations, Marketing and Promotions, the Ticket Office and Special Events.
A Mission College Prep alumnus in San Luis Obispo, Baker graduated from the College of Business at Cal Poly in 1997 with a bachelor of science degree, concentrating in marketing
Baker and his wife, Bryanna, have one daughter, Carly and twin boys, Dylan and Connor and reside in San Luis Obispo.

Offermann, who began his new appointment July 1, worked in Cal Poly’s College of Liberal Arts and the College of Science and Mathematics as Director of Major Gifts before accepting the new position in the Athletics Department.
"I'm delighted that Ashley has chosen to join our team,” said Cal Poly director of athletics Don Oberhelman. “His connectivity with the university combined with his passion for athletics will help us tremendously in achieving our fundraising goals.
"This position will help us aggressively pursue greater funding for scholarships for our student-athletes, and for much needed facility development and improvements," Oberhelman added.
Offermann looks forward to his first appointment in an athletics department.
"The chance to work with Don Oberhelman, his staff and the university’s community was too good to pass up,” said Offermann. “Cal Poly provides me a unique opportunity where our student-athletes are as successful in the classroom and community as they are on the field and that resonates with our supporters.
"I will work tirelessly alongside our coaches and staff to ensure Cal Poly will stay competitive in our facilities, scholarships and endowments that assists in attracting student-athletes and aids them to be successful in the ever-improving Big West and Big Sky conferences," Offermann added.
From 2009 to March of this year, Offermann served as vice-president of Star Ventures, LLC, in Scottsdale, Ariz. Star Ventures, LLC, is a private investment, asset management and advisory firm.
From 2004-09, Offermann was vice-president and chief financial officer for Star Resorts, also in Scottsdale. Star Resorts is the leading developer, consultant, marketer and seller of resort real estate throughout North America.
Offermann also was a senior consultant for Pennington and Company in Lawrence, Kansas, from 2001-04. He was a chapter consultant for The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity in Memphis, Tenn., from 2000-01.
Offermann is a 2000 graduate of the University of Utah, earning a bachelor’s degree in finance. He was student body president, president of the InterFraternity Council and member of Pi Kappa Alpha.
Offermann currently is affiliated with the Urban Land Institute, Rockies Regional President of Pi Kappa Alpha and a member of the Active 20/30 Club of Phoenix as well as the Alumni Association and Crimson Club at the University of Utah.
Offermann is single and resides in San Luis Obispo.
Assistant Athletic Director, Marketing and Communications
Saylor coordinates the Mustang Corral Pre-Game Tailgate, the Mustang Corral Basketball Tent Reception, the annual Cal Poly Athletics Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony, the annual Mustang Madness Dinner and Auction and assists the various teams with the planning and coordination of individual fundraising and alumni reunion events.
Saylor is a 1986 graduate of San Diego State University with a bachelor's degree in recreation administration and a 1975 graduate of Oceanside High School, Oceanside, California.
Prior to his time here at Cal Poly, Saylor served as the CEO/Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of North SLO County in Paso Robles, Calif., for 12 years and for 13 years at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Carlsbad, where he held several positions including the being the Executive Director.
Bill and wife, Alicia have two grown daughters. The oldest, Bethany, is married to Mike Jennings and they have two children, Madison and Kaleb. Their youngest daughter is Jenna.
