BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Cal Poly women's golf concluded its 2025 fall schedule at the Route 66 Invitational Honoring Dale McNamara, hosted by Tulsa, finishing tied for 12th place out of 14 teams.
The Mustangs posted a total score of 897 across the three-day tournament. The total included a pair of 297 rounds, tied for the program's fifth-best out of 11 total rounds this season.
Although the Mustangs finished near the bottom of the team leaderboard, they improved on last year's team score by 15 strokes.
Individually, Nicole Koong (T-20th) returned to her position as Cal Poly's leading golfer, continuing her streak of five straight top-20 finishes dating back to last season's Big West Championship and extending through the entire 2025 fall schedule.
Koong also improved by ten places and ten strokes (218) from last year's McNamara Invitational, delivering one of the best three-round performances of her career.
True freshman Maddy Saysanasongkham (32nd), though falling short of her last two placements, bettered her personal three-round record (221) by one stroke and finished as Cal Poly's second-leading golfer in Broken Arrow.
Taylor Baker (T-66th, 230), Sarah Yoo (T-72nd, 235), and Sara Torres (81st, 246) rounded out the scoring for the Mustangs. Yoo shot two strokes lower than her previous three-round best this season.
With a promising fall season complete, the Mustangs now enter a break of more than three months before returning to competition for the start of the spring season at the Arizona Thunderbird Intercollegiate on Feb. 9-10, 2026.
