Offensive Spotlight: Tyrei Washington

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Redshirt junior running back Tyrei Washington had a standout performance last week against Sacramento State, rushing for a career-high 113 yards and a 57-yard touchdown run.
Throughout five games this season, Washington has rushed for 179 yards and two touchdowns on 44 carries while also adding three receptions for 25 yards. His performance against Sacramento State nearly doubled his season total and gave the Mustangs their longest run of the year.
Before transferring to Cal Poly this season, Washington played at Temple and the College of San Francisco, where he earned All-Bay 6 Conference honors twice and totaled over 500 all-purpose yards in 2022.
Washington and the Mustangs will look to keep building momentum on Saturday when they host No. 7 UC Davis for the Homecoming game at Mustang Memorial Field at Spanos Stadium. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. and fans are encouraged to show out or tune in live on ESPN+.
