Cal Poly STUNT Earns Historic First Victory

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — The Cal Poly STUNT team secured an historic victory during its first two games of the season on Friday night inside California Baptist’s Van Dyne Gym.
In its first official game as a varsity sport at Cal Poly, the Mustangs took down Concordia University Irvine 29-22. The Golden Eagles are ranked third in the country at the Division II level.
The No. 3 Mustangs wrapped up the night by facing five-time defending Division I champions and No. 1-ranked Cal Baptist. Cal Poly fell 28-6 to the Lancers.
Cal Poly (1-1) caps off its season-opening weekend of action on Saturday at the Freed Center in Costa Mesa. The Mustangs take on Vanguard University at 10 a.m. and Jessup University at 11:15 a.m.
